robotics access, 210ms when accessing on optical media and <10ms when
accessing from read cache.

archive.

Transfer rates
for read and write are currently at 9MB/s
– the next technology step is the 18MB/s
transfer rate which will be introduced in Q3/2008, then

– Blu-ray is an industry wide standard, media are available from a

UDF file format, which makes it
compatible with any workstation Blu-ray drive (non proprietary).

spanning.
